The Wooden Spoon

Third time here, new location. The place is smaller than the old one. But the size makes it feel more homier. This location has parking which is a plus. My family and I came here on a Sunday for brunch, it was 12 of us, even with the amount of people we were the service was quick. The waiter was great took care of us right away. Food also came out in a timely manner.

One of my go to favorite places! We have been going to the wooden spoon since they opened and stayed with them then with the location change. The foot never disappoints, the atmosphere is great and I always leave happy and full. Give their original Brussel sprouts a try, their wings and anything they have on Texas toast because it just makes everything better! One of my favorites is their meatloaf, it won’t disappoint!

The steak sandwich was tender and very flavorful, the stinger sandwich was crispy and juicy. Everything we had was flavorful, the frosé was good too. We went on a Saturday at 7:00pm and it was basically empty in there so we got seated right away. Great low key spot for a cheap but delicious bite.

This food spot has been in New Rochelle for many years and has recently relocated from downtown New Ro to the north end of New Ro. Went for dinner on a Thursday, got there around 6pm, just before it got busy. Our server was a young kid, who looked a little scared. It looks like the menu is the same as before and there was also a specials menu that had some good options. One person in our party ordered tots with their meal, but they were not as good as I remember them. All the other food we ordered for the meal was very good. I believe there are 5-6 tables as well as some counter space to sit at. The parking situation is better than downtown, with a free lot now available at the location.

Love, love, love! The food was amazing, it had a nice and cozy atmosphere. Customer service was great, the dessert was also amazing. Prices are good. Would def recommend and come back again!

I was in the area and saw this cute place, so I decided to have lunch from here. I didn’t give 5 stars because there isn’t any parking, the frozen jungle juice had absolutely NO alcohol even though the host stated that it has vodka and when I got my food and went back to my car there was no forks, spoons, napkins in the bag. Otherwise the grits and shrimp was very good a bit spicy if you like that. The “Wiches” Cajun fish sandwich was good and the fried Oreos were delicious ! They weren’t overly expensive so that’s also a plus! However, on my receipt I was charged a “Custom Amount” and “cc” fee; not quite sure what that’s about. I would come back for the food as far as the alcoholic frozen drinks it’s a strong NO for me. This is definitely a cute, cool brunch/lunch date vibes.
